This wireless follow focus has a 1500m range making it popular for drone work and very reliable for traditional setups. Our kit comes with the Latitude receiver and Red control cable, creating a wifi hotspot so you can use your phone to control the camera remotely. The hand unit runs off of a Canon LPE6 battery and powers an incredibly long time (up to 36 hours) on a single battery. The receiver runs via P tap off your camera battery, gimbal, or steadicam. Included in our kit is also a thumbwheel accessory for one man band gimbal and steadicam jobs so the operator can pull his/her own focus.
We just received this unit and we are very impressed with its operating range (over 100 yards), its build quality and torque. The Axis 1 should easily handle the stickiest lens.
We have the microRemote module for the MoVI Controller enabling the operator to control focus, pan and tilt for the MoVI M15, M10 & M5 from one integrated device.
DJI's follow focus has the receiver built directly into the motor for a more simplified workflow and mantains a 300' range and 14 milliseconds of lag. The remote has custom buttons which allow for preset quick rack focuses and has its own proprietary rechargeable lithium batteries, which charge via USB. The DJI Focus has particular advantages when using DJI's drones, making use of Lightbride 2's 3.1 mile range. When attached to a X5 or X5R camera on the Inspire it gives you follow focus control directly on the inspire remote.
